Learn How to Solve (with Sample Question and Answer)
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
The graph shows the average annual expenditures on a cell phone and residential phone services between 2001 and 2010.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
Let's take a sample question:
The Line chart shows a comparison between the average expense of the individuals of the US on Mobile phones and the fixed-line services from the year 2001 to 2010.
From the chart, it is noticeable that there has been a sharp increase in the annual expenses for the cellular services and in the same period the expenses for the residential one declined.
Moreover, to deduce that the spending on residential phone services in 2001 was $690 by the users whereas the expenditure on mobile phone services was only $200.
However, the trends saw a reversible change in the year 2002, when the mobile expenses of the customer rose to $300 and the residential phone users spending decreased to $650.
The expenses made by the users for the residential phone started declining in the coming years and reached $500 in the year 2006 and further dropped to $400 in 2010. Whereas, the cell phone expenses kept increasing steeply.
The cell phone users' expenses increased by two times to approx. $800 more than that of residential phone users.
