IELTS Results are calculated on a Band scale of 9.
The scores are represented on a scale from 1 (lowest) to 9 (highest).

Calculating Overall
IELTS Band Score

Scores for each module of the IELTS Test - Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing - are weighted equally. The overall band score is calculated by taking an average of the total scores of all the four modules.

When will the IELTS Test
Result be available?

IELTS Results are available online 13 days after taking the Paper Based Test. If it is a Computer Based IELTS test, the results are available online within 3-5 days of taking the test. The Test Report Form is then posted to your mailing address.

How long is the
IELTS Exam Score valid for?

The IELTS Score is valid for two years; with no limit on how many times you can use it whether for study, work or migration.
