In developing IELTS Online, we are bringing all the existing benefits of IELTS for test takers and recognising organisations," Nuttall said. "IELTS Online will provide flexibility and confidence, using cutting edge AI and state-of-the-art security features to complement the expertise of IELTS examiners."
Another great advantage-point of this test is that the results are declared within 3 days of the test.
What is IELTS?
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is used for educational, training, and immigration purposes. The IELTS Test has four sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking with each section containing different types of questions.
An example of some IELTS questions are:
"What is your favorite holiday destination?" (Speaking) and
A telephonic conversation about a Car sales representative and customer. "Hello, you have called Faraway Car Dealers. Please state your name and let me know how can I help you." (Listening).
Write an Essay on 'Today's schools should teach their students how to survive financially in the world' To what extent do you agree or disagree. Write at least 250 words. (Writing)
Each module scores on a Band 9 level, the scoring criteria, and task achievement differs from each module.
IELTS Online will include all the same content that currently exists with IELTS Academic tests. Also, the test ensures it has the same content specification and is assessed with the same severity as the paper-based IELTS and Computer-based IELTS. Thus, no matter which form of test you take, you can ensure the standards of are equivalent to IELTS Academic.
Moreover, the test will have the format for the IELTS Speaking test, which includes real-time face-to-face speaking with the examiner.
"IELTS Online is the next step in enhancing the test taker experience around the world. It will give test takers greater flexibility in taking the IELTS test. It will also mean faster results for test takers, as validated results will be available as soon as three days after the test. By making the world's leading test available online, we aim to empower even more people to take IELTS and follow their ambitions."

All About IELTS
The IELTS test is a mandatory requirement for many universities and colleges around the world. It demonstrates a student's English language capability in comparison to that required by their chosen academic course or study destination. As we know, IELTS tests the four key skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking, this form of the test couldn't have come in a much better time. With all the world having to stay indoors, IELTS Online allows students an opportunity to pursue their dreams without compromising their safety. In order to check students' IELTS abilities, an IETLS Speaking test has been implemented to assess speaking ability in a real-time face-to-face dialogue between an examiner and test-takers. The Speaking component will not change in this test due to its need for human interaction.
IELTS Practice Test
Students can give IELTS in three forms - Paper-based IELTS, Computer-based IELTS, and IELTS Online (From 2022). But, the one thing that remains common is rigorous practice. Put in the habit of taking the practice tests before appearing for the IELTS test. This way, you will score better.
